Why aren’t notifications coming through?

I'm a new Tikkit user, and I created some test requests to see what notifications look like. But no notifications are coming through. What gives?

There are at least three possibilities here:

1. You are trying to trigger notifications yourself, but Tikkit will never send you notifications about your own actions. In other words, if you create a new request, Tikkit won’t notify you that a new request was created, even if you have new request notifications turned on. Likewise, if you assign a request to yourself or leave a comment on one of your own requests, Tikkit will not send out a notification to you. The reason for this is to avoid cluttering your inbox with unnecessary updated. Learn more about how notifications work.
2. You don’t have notifications turned on. Learn how to adjust your notification preferences.
3. The notifications are going into your spam folder. If this is the case, we recommend adding Tikkit to your contacts.
