The main interaction people have with a request is leaving comments. Requests serve as a communication tool that help to organize conversations around work to be done.
But there are many other actions that can be performed on a request. You can assign them and re-assign them. You can change the priority. You can update the request label. You can edit the description. And so on.
Tikkit tracks all of these changes and assembles them into a complete audit trail that shows the full history of activity around a given request. Most of the time, you probably won’t need this level of detail, but when you do need it, it’s incredibly handy.
The activity tab
To view the complete history of activity for a request:
- Navigate to the request you are interested in.
- Click on the “Activity” tab.
You will see a chronological history of actions performed. Each action will show the person responsible for the change, the time of the change, and any relevant details.

The images on the left use a shorthand to indicate the person who performed the action and also the action type. For example, a small label icon indicates a change of request label. The icons are even color coded to indicate the request label value. This shorthand can help you scan long activity lists to focus in on the changes you are most interested in.
