PG&E offers new access management features that allow you to securely add Gridium to your account. Follow these steps to ensure uninterrupted access to your energy use and cost data.
Note: the new access management features are not the same as the “Share My Data” feature that PG&E also offers. This document describes how to “add a person” to your account.
When adding Gridium to your account, make sure to use the specific contact information we provided: name, email address, and phone number. If you aren’t sure what contact information to use, please reach out to us at support@gridium.com.
Add Gridium to your first utility account
- Log into your new PG&E account. (If you haven’t set up your new account yet, the site will walk you through the set-up process.)
- After signing in, you will see a see a section toward the bottom of the page where you can “Add another person.” Click the “Add person” link.
- Click “Give account access.”
- On the next screen, you will be asked to enter the contact information that Gridium provided to you. It’s important to enter the first name, last name, email address, and phone number that we provided to you, as they are specific to your account.
- When asked if you are giving access to another employee, select “No, I am giving access to someone outside the company.”
- For access level, select “High.” This gives Gridium full data access but still restricts our ability to perform sensitive actions.
- Click “Send Invitation.”
Repeat the process for all of your utility accounts
You just granted access to a single utility account. You may have multiple utility accounts associated with your login. If so, you need to grant access to each one:
- Return to the home page by choosing menu item Account > My Account Dashboard.
- You should see a selector in the top right of the page labeled “Account.”
- If you have more than one account available, choose the next one in the list and repeat the process for granting access.
- Do this for every utility account associated with your login.
When Gridium receives the invitation to join your account(s), we will complete the set-up on our end, ensuring a complete view of your energy use and cost data.
