Data Analyst (Remote)

Gridium makes software that helps people run commercial buildings better, at lower cost and with less energy. Gridium is looking for a Data Analyst to help us bring deep efficiency to the built environment, which is responsible for 40% of the world’s energy use.

Gridium’s software platform collects large amounts of operational data from commercial buildings such as offices, medical providers, and corporate campuses. Our analytics then identifies energy savings opportunities that we work with customers to bring to reality.

Gridium is looking for a Data Analyst to help us manage the next generation of energy and operations software tools for buildings. This is an entry level position focused mostly on data entry. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the data we provide our customers is accurate and timely.

About the job

  • Provisioning new accounts: collecting all necessary information from PDF bills and utility websites and preparing a new account file.
  • Assisting with stale data: checking utility websites to make sure we have the most recent data possible.
  • Auditing utility bills and interval data: reviewing bills to ensure that the billing information matches the utility bill PDF and a number of other audits.
  • Uploading usage and bill data: collecting data from excel and PDF files, formatting it for upload and uploading into a database.
  • Working with Energy Star Portfolio Manager: adding and validating utility usage information and property details.
  • Ad hoc data entry/management projects.
